Good afternoon band faMily.
Our school has adopted a return policy for students who have tested positive for the virus. There is a quarantine time, then a return time if they stay masked the entire time. This is a good policy. Kids miss less school.
However………..students cannot stay 100% masked in band rehearsal. And, they could very well still be contagious hence the masking.
Band students who return to school during that masking time will not play in rehearsal, rather be isolated and practice on their own or do other constructive things like homework. Checking out during that time could be an option.
