All State auditions, need parent help, Saturday 1/29

Good morning high school and middle school parents.

Saturday morning and early afternoon, we will be hosting the District 3 all state auditions on the campus of MSHS. We are always eager to host events which make it easier on our students to participate. However, to host we must have help from parents to make it happen.

In the past, we have had good middle school parent participation with this event. We hope to have the same. It really is an easy day with little stress.

We need many parents to help with the registration area. There is a high school registration side with about 10 parents, and a middle school side with 8-10 parents. Students show up on campus and come to you according to their grade and instrument. you give them the information needed and mark that they arrived and that’s pretty much it.

We will also have a large group of high school students and 20 or so UNA band students to help with the “runner” situation at the actual audition room coordinating with the judges themselves.

Tianna Brooks, along with a couple of other parents, will help with a small hospitality room for the judges and directors.

It is not a hard job at all, but one we cannot do without. Please consider helping. Expected times will be 7:30-10:30am all hands on deck. Around 10:30 things start dying down and a smaller registration crew can handle the situation until the day is done.
