THE DAY: TVIMC 2022
You will drive your buses and trucks to the HIGH SCHOOL to register and park in our main parking lot. Registration will be inside the front double doors of the high school. Directors will receive a packet with schedule, armbands, information, and director and staff lanyards.
Each band will receive chaperone passes. 1 for every 10 students. If you are in need of extra, mention it to the registration table and they will advise.
For some early bands, if your kids are going to drive or parents drive, please tell them to not park in the main parking lot. That is reserved for bus and truck parking only. Have them park at the church across the street or at the library.
Directors, you will be asked to sign a waiver indicating you will not throw confetti, baby powder, use fire batons or anything of that sort that may cause damage to the turf field.
After registration, your students have access to dressing rooms. It is located close to registration.
Once you are ready for warm up, you will walk to our practice field/large grass field next to the gym. Area A is in front of our band tower. Area B is on the south end of the tennis courts. Signs will guide you.
You will have a band guide assigned to you. These students will be trained to answer questions. If they cannot answer a question, they will find out for you. They are instructed to keep the contest running on time, and will give you updates of how much time you have left in warm up.
Once you travel to the gate, there will be a gatekeeper to help you. He will instruct you as to when you will enter the field.
ALL BANDS WILL ENTER FROM SIDE A/1 AND EXIT SIDE B/2.
Your band guide will lead you everywhere you need to go. You will walk back to the buses and parking lot and the rest of the day is up to you.
As the host of a marching contest, we hope that you would find time for your kids to visit our concession stand. That is the area in which our band program makes our profit on a contest. We appreciate your support in this area.
After the MSHS band performs at the end of the night, the award ceremony begins. Like most contests we ask that your band representatives meet at the lower entrance gate and come out onto the field when announced.
If you have any more questions about the day, please do not hesitate to email, call, or text
