Good afternoon band faMily. I sincerely hope this message finds you doing well. Here are a couple bits of information about our immediate schedule and the Christmas Concert.
MSHS has made the call to go virtual the rest of this week leading into the Thanksgiving break. Thankfully our administrators allow us to make the call for rehearsals as an extra curricular activity. That being said, after long discussion among the staff, we have decided to NOT REHEARSE this week 4th block. This recent COVID spike appears to be very dangerous and is affecting many people we personally know. We believe it would be in our best interest as a band program to NOT rehearse. We still have enough rehearsal time to get our music together for our concert when we get back. We just don’t’ want to be greedy as we have been blessed so far with more than we imagined back in June. Students, your only assignment will be to practice your concert music for a successful return.
Our Christmas concert is planned for
MONDAY, DECEMBER 7th.
6:30 Symphonic Band
7:00 Clear Auditorium
7:30 Wind Ensemble
8:00 Clear Auditorium
We will certainly Facebook Live and record the concert to post for those who don’t feel comfortable coming live.
We will hold the auditium to 450 each concert. This should be more than enough seating for those who wish to come listen to each group.
We want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, and a safe 14 days away from the school. Please students, be safe and let’s all be smart about our decisions and choices in regard to our health and the safety of others.
