Good morning pit dads. I want to start by thanking you for all the help so far this year. It’s been a weird year but we have never been short on help.
This Saturday is our one an only travel trip for the band. Usually we do this 8-9 times or more a year. We are out of practice, but it’s like riding a bike.
Scott Allen has volunteered to pull the trailer with his personal truck. Thank you Scott.
We will need a box truck driver for Saturday. We would like to have a group of dads to volunteer to oversee the loading and unloading as always. Dave Davis will send out information and reminder this week. This will be his last active duty assignment as he is retiring from his 3 year leadership role with a graduating senior daughter. Freshman parent Jon Wright has graciously agreed to step into that role with the help of an arm bar and figure 4 leg lock 🙂
What I would like to see Saturday is a group of dads assisting who have younger students in the band. We are graduating a large group of hard working senior band member dads and we need to fill that void. I hope to use this trip as training ground for our season next year which we expect to be back to the routines of marching band. If you have never helped in this manor, this is the perfect time to figure it out with low pressure.
