Good morning MSMS Band!
Here’s your info for the week:
7th and 8th Grade Morning Rehearsals
As we get closer to our first concerts of the year, we will need to get our 7th and 8th grade band members together for a few before school rehearsals. We will have two this week:
Thursday, October 26 @ 7:15 a.m. AND Friday, October 27 @ 7:15 a.m.
Parents, these rehearsals are vitally important for your 7th and 8th grade band students. Please make all efforts possible to have you child at the middle school band room for these rehearsals this week.
Upcoming Concerts
The 7th and 8th grade band will be playing at the MSMS Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 3. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. and it will be in the MSMS gym. The 7th and 8th grade band students will need to wear their Red MSMS Band T-Shirt and Jeans/Pants for this performance. The 6th grade band will not be participating in this program.
The MSMS Band Veteran’s Day Concert will be on Tuesday, November 7 @ 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium at MSHS. This concert will be for all MSMS Band members (6th, 7th, and 8th). The 7th and 8th grade band will need to wear their formal concert attire for this performance. The 6th grade band members will need to wear nice clothes for this performance (no jeans or tennis shoes, please!) I will post more specific concert info next week.
The 7th/8th grade band will perform first, along with the MSMS Show Choir. The 6th grade band will perform after the 7th/8th grade band. We ask that ALL persons in attendance stay for the duration of the concert. It should last about an hour. It’s going to be great! There is no charge for admission.
Concert Attire

Upcoming Calendar of Events
November 3 – MSMS Veterans Day Program (during school day) *7th and 8th grade band ONLY
November 7 – Veterans Day Concert @ MSHS (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade will play that evening)
December 7 – Christmas Concert @ MSHS (6th, 7th, and 8th grade will play that evening)
We will continue concert preparations for all of our bands this week. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band members have made some wonderful progress in their music over the last week. This is a BIG week for us. Lot’s to get done!
