There’s a new addition to the Hood family! Cora Leigh Hood was born at 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, September 24! 7 lbs and 10 oz. & 20 and 1/4 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well. We are all very excited for Mr. and Mrs. Hood and their family. Welcome to the world , Cora!!!

We are so very excited that you are here!!

Here’s a pic of Cora:

While Mrs. Hood will be away for a time, we have Mr. David Wiseman stepping in to help us out. Mr. Wiseman is a veteran band director of 39 years. He retired from Lexington High School this past May. He has already been helping us out in our middle school classes for the past few weeks as well as assisting at some marching rehearsals. We are glad to have Mr. Wiseman here working with us!

The band had a great showing at Russellville this past Saturday. All Superior Ratings, Best overall Percussion, Color Guard, and Band. The band received the Challenge Cup for the highest score of the day. AND our Pit Crew received the Best Pit Crew of the Day Award! Way to go EVERYBODY! The band brought home LOTS of hardware.

It’s a big week for us. Lot’s to do to make the show better for this weekend.

Let’s get after it.

Seay everyone on Monday.
