A very special place

This place you see here I call my sanctuary. It’s a place of safety And support for all those looking to perform music together at the highest possible level. I am allowed to pass on years of knowledge to teenagers eager to learn it. I get to conduct incredible music these teenagers are eager to perform.
Every day at 1:45-3:15 is a special time in my life. Every scholastic music ensemble I have ever been a part of has rehearsed at that time going back to my high school days. During the summer months 1:30 is always a weird time not preparing for some kind of rehearsal. The memories created during that time are as numerous as the stars. This Tuesday is going to be another star of a memory. Each year the band has a unique sound created by the combination of the tones and character of each student performer. It’s a unique quality that keeps each year fresh and new from the ones of the past. I cannot wait to conduct these students performing Tuesday and To hear the Symphonic band on Wednesday.
This will be the only opportunity to hear the songs we have prepared for MPA. I urge you to find a way to hear them. This week will be the finest the bands will sounds all year. I hope to see you there to experience the passionate music made by these wonderful young human beings. There isn’t a place I would rather be. My sanctuary!
