One thing about this crazy year is that it is flying by quickly. While football season will continue we will begin the transition to inside concert band in two weeks.
I wanted to give everyone an overview of the next two weeks as our most important performances all come together.
Tuesday (tongiht) practice, uniform fitting, performance
Wednesday-Thursday virtual learning only
Friday 4th block practice and home game (Buckhorn band not coming)
NEXT WEEK:
Monday through Friday 4th rehearsals, getting after it at this point folks!
Thursday night COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE with the UNA band!
Friday night pep band at Cullman
Saturday afternoon-evening UNA NIGHT OF BANDS AT BRALY STADIUM!
A LOOK AHEAD!
MONDAY October 26th will be our first official inside concert band rehearsal. Students need to plan to have their concert instruments that day to begin working on upcoming concerts.
We are looking into how our concerts will work. We want live performances and we want safety as well. We will let you know asap how we plan to go ahead with these when the directors make a decision.
Students, please remember both the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble dress is Black Tuxedo and Black Dress. Go ahead and start looking for your attire now.
ALL STATE-students, we have not been able to have private teachers this semester. I am very worried that all state audition material is not being practiced like you normally do. Please do not wait another minute to get busy with those auditions.
PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE and WINTERGAURD: We are happy to announce these ensembles will exist in 2020-2021. Our local circuit the Southeastern Colorguard Circuit is hosting events and we will get to perform. We are thankful for whatever performing venues we are given.
