We have learned the drill, we have learned the music, we almost have music memorized, and we are trying to get the music to the feet. Today is the day it all comes together. It must. I have all the faith in the world this group of kids can do it. Almost 4 minutes of music to finalize today.
Thursday: 4th block outside everyone, lets get this done!
Friday: Practice the entire show 4th block,
loading crew meet at stadium after school, drum stands in Eli’s truck, drum major podiums in Charlies truck, set out chairs
5:30 band call at the field
6:20 walk to stadium to our chairs
6:45 Anthem
7:00 gametime
8:00 halftime show
9:30-10:00 game ends, stack chairs, walk back to school safely
Athens HS will be bringing a 35ish member pep band so lets enjoy the 2nd half like last week. We will not play as much first half knowing what we have to do with our show but 2 half we will crank it up a bit.
Next week we will balance show practice with updating and learning more stands tunes.
Don’t forget that happiness is found in helping others. Try it for yourself. Do not do it expecting something in return not even a thank you. Just do it because it’s the right thing to do. Do you have joy in your heart?
