I hope you are enjoying your Good Friday!
Here are some details for the Percussion Ensemble field trip on Monday. This applies only to members of the Percussion Ensemble.
The overall footprint of the day will be roughly the same as a normal school day. Students should report to school as normal and they will be back around 3:30. We will all meet in the band room at 8am to get our music, sticks, mallets, and small percussion instruments. We will then load the bus and depart for UNA at 8:15. This will be a fun-filled day with clinics, masterclasses, and concerts by some very well known professionals in the percussion world.
Our performance will be at 9:30am in Norton Auditorium. It is open to the public if anyone would like to attend. We will also be performing this at the “Dinner with the Band” April 18th and at our Percussion Ensemble concert April 20th, so if you can’t make it Monday, there will be other opportunities.
What students will need:
Students need to wear a black t-shirt (their GROW shirts from marching band will work fine) and either blue jeans or khaki pants. They will need to bring money for lunch. We will eat at the food court at UNA.
