We realize it is indeed an ACT weekend and we have several students taking that test. It is our policy that we allow students to check out after our halftime performance on ACT weekends so that they may be rested for that day. The same goes for this trip as well. It is highly recommended.
Strong Suggestion: Because this is a longer trip, I strongly suggest that these parents get together and come up with a plan ahead of time to possibly car pool or help each other out. This trip, (with a signed letter/discussion with their parents ) students could get back 4-5 hours before the buses and other kids would get home. Halftime is usually at 8pm, with a 3 hour drive could be home between 11 and 11:30.
We plan to leave much earlier than normal on that day. We want to hit the birmingham mall area for lunch then head down to Wetumpka for the game. We will drive straight back after the game without stopping.
