Next week is a big week for the future of the MSHS band! Here’s what you need to know:
Leadership Team: If you would like to be considered for a leadership team position, camp will be held next week May 3-7 from 7:15-8AM in the MSHS band room. Additionally, please fill out the application below and submit by next Sunday, May 2nd. Lastly, interviews for leadership team will be conducted by the directors May 3-5 beginning at 5PM. Interview sign-up time sheet is posted in the band room. Leadership team members will also be expected to obtain community service hours this summer.
Drum Major auditions: Clinic for drum major will take place May 3-7 from 3:30-4:30. Auditions will take place Friday, May 7th after school. You are strongly encouraged to audition! Going through the process will give you confidence.
Marching band wind chair auditions: chair auditions for marching band will take place during 4th block next week May 3-7. This audition is for marching band only, not for split concert ensembles. Those auditions will take place in the Fall. High school students not in second semester band should plan to audition immediately after school on their assigned day. 8th grade students will audition during their band class the week of May 17-20. Here is the schedule for auditions:

Monday, May 3: Saxophones, Trumpets
Tuesday, May 4: Clarinets, Trombones, Baritones
Wednesday, May 5: Flutes, Tubas, Horns, Make-ups
Thursday, May 6: Make-ups
Marching band percussion auditions: the battery and front ensemble auditions will take place May 17-20 from 3:30-4:45 at MSHS, Grades 8-11.
