Good morning, MS Band!
We are looking forward to our second summer rehearsal for the marching band this evening from 5:30-8. Remember to fill out the absence form here, if you are out of town and cannot attend tonight’s rehearsal. Please remember to arrive a few minutes early, so we can start right on time. This post contains loads of info leading into band camp and the start of school!
Summer rehearsals:
Tuesday, July 12 – 5:30-8
Thursday, July 14 – 5:30-8
Water Drop Off: Our first water drop-off of the season will be this Tuesday evening! Please drop off 1, 2… (10 if you feel inclined) packs of water at the lower concession stand at the stadium at 5PM!
New Member Kick-Off (formerly Freshman Fish Fry): All new marching band member parents, students, and family welcome! Join us for a night of fellowship, food, and fun. Friday, July 15 at 6PM at Grace Life Church. New members of the marching band will meet their section leaders and participate in activities. Parents and family will learn about the high school program and how to be involved!
Leadership Team Camp: If you are a member of the leadership team, we will be having our camp on Friday, July 15 beginning at 8AM. We will have our camp in the morning, then you will help at the New Member Kick-Off in the evening!
ACT: I know a lot of students are taking the ACT on Saturday morning, Best of Luck!

Kate Hathorn and our other hospitality moms have put together a great lunch menu for our camp this year. If you are not able to eat these options, please plan ahead to bring lunch! Thank you to all of our band camp sponsors. We will do special shout outs to our sponsors during camp!
Institute Band Performance: Our first official marching band performance will be for the opening of the Muscle Shoals City Schools Institute on Monday, August 1st. Our call time will be 7:15 and students will be done and ready to go home no later than 8:30. This is a great way to get all of our system teachers pumped for the school year!
