MSHS Spring “Fusion” Concert
6:30 PM Stratford Auditorium
The Muscle Shoals High School band is proud to present its first annual “Fusion” Concert! In this concert, we will perform both popular music and classical music sure to provide a fun time for all in attendance. Students will dress in either concert black “classical” or in theme with one of our popular/movie themed selections. It’s the best of both worlds! Tickets for the concert are $3 and children 5 and under get in free. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Each year we have countless students and families affected by cancer and will continue to give back where we can. Tickets must be purchased on GoFan through the link here. We are excited to establish this as an annual concert that the community can look forward to each year. At this event, we will also be honoring the retirement of our fearless leader Mr. David Waters. There will be a few surprises in store for him as well as a reception in the MSHS cafeteria for guests to send him well wishes on this next chapter in life. You don’t want to miss this!

MSMS Spring Concert and MSMS/MSHS Jazz Band Concert
6PM Stratford Auditorium
The concert will open with the MSMS and MSHS Jazz Bands. We hope to be back to our stand-alone Night of Jazz next year but are still glad we get to perform with these groups as we build our jazz program. The 6th grade Beginning Band will follow the jazz bands, and we will conclude the concert with our 7th/8th grade band!
May 9th-13th, 2022
Leadership Team Clinic: 7:30-8 (Those who are AP testing are permitted to leave early for provided breakfasts) Clinic is mandatory for students wishing to be a member of the Leadership Team. Applications are due Sunday, May 8th and can be accessed here.
Drum Major Auditions: 3:30-4:30 Information for interested students can be found here.
Percussion Clinics: Mr. O’Bryant will be visiting the students at MSMS and MSHS to introduce himself and teach our percussion clinics after school at MSHS from 3:30-5. Please drop by to say hello!
Marching Band Auditions for wind players will take place the same week during 4th block. If a student is not currently in 4th block band, they must email Mrs. Hood at jhood@mscs.k12.al.us to setup an audition.

The MSHS Jazz Band will be performing for the students at Webster Elementary again this year. The performance is at 1:30 at Webster Elementary School.
May 17th, 2022
Band Banquet will be hosted at Cox Blvd. Church of Christ at 6:30PM. Parents and Students Grades 8-12 are invited to attend. We will be announcing next year’s marching show and celebrating the awesome year we have had. Please register and pay for tickets here.
May 20th, 2022
Honor Day: The students playing in the Honor Day Band can be viewed here. Because of limited space for the band to setup, not all students can play at this event. We will practice with the senior class on Thursday, May 19th and play for them the morning of Friday, May 20th.
May 26th, 2022
Graduation: We will load chairs and band equipment onto the band truck on Wednesday, May 25th and meet at the stadium at 7AM on Thursday, May 26th to setup for graduation. I will need a lot of student help with this. The entire band is required to play at graduation unless they have spoken to me about being out of town/extenuating circumstances. Graduation practice is at 10AM the day of Graduation. More specific call times will be announced closer to the date.
