That’s a wrap! I could not be more proud of the students for all they accomplished at Band Camp 2022. Thank you students for your awesome attitudes and great work ethic. The possibilities are truly limitless for this group. Thank you to all the parent volunteers and boosters that fed and cared for the band this week. These were some of the best meals I can remember, and the parents who filled up water jugs and water balloons are so appreciated. The success of the last two weeks could not have been possible without you all!
We had a great group of instructors who gave their all every day to help our students be the best they could and a supportive school administration and staff who worked with us as we took over the entire MSHS campus. I want to personally thank Mr. O’Bryant and Mr. Seay for everything they do every day for our students. What a great team to be working with every day.
I definitely couldn’t close out this band camp recap without talking about this special group of seniors. I met them when they were 7th graders and knew it was a special group then. I have watched them grow into wonderful humans both for the band program and for the world. They have made it through some hard world events and give me hope for the future as they navigate this final year of high school. Seniors, thank you for all you do for your fellow students and directors. It’s going to be an unforgettable year.
