Good morning middle school band faMily. I hope you are still in awe thinking about the wonderful performances from our recording sessions last night. What a treat and what talented students we have in our band program. Thank you for raising such wonderful young people.
If you are an 8th grade parent or student, I wanted to let you know you are invited to a special event. Our high school band has an end of the year banquet to honor seniors, to introduce new booster officers, but most importantly to brag on the students and the band accomplishments from this year and the past several years. We work extremely hard at what we do and we feel it is important to look carefully at the things we may have forgotten.
This year we are also adding “REVEAL DAY” as part of the banquet festivities. Reveal day is when we reveal to everyone our 2021 competitive halftime show will be. It is our “SHOW” announcement. Our band students are always eager to know what what show they will be perfecting the following year. This is a great reason to get the 8th grade students involved in the banquet.
All band students 8-12 are free of charge. The band boosters will cover the cost of their meal and other things. For any parent who wishes to come will have a charge. We will send that information home with students when we get closer to time.
This year, the banquet will be held on the band practice field under the stadium lights. Complete with banquet tables, a large stage and sound equipment, projector for reveal day and so forth. A lot of information will be given about the upcoming year including dates, competitions, performances, and so forth. It is a formal type event and we will have a photographer on site for professional pictures.
