The jazz band has been working hard as of late preparing for our NIGHT OF JAZZ event next Friday, May 21 7pm at Parkview Baptist Church in Tuscumbia. Please mark your calendars for this fun event.
Tomorrow, Friday May 14th, Webster Elementary asked if we would come play and demonstrate certain physics of sound that relate to terms they learned recently like loud, soft, high, low frequency, and many other things. We are excited to play for the 1st and 2nd graders as they are always the best audience. We begin just after 1:30 if any parents wished to come. We will done by 2:15 and the students will not be late for school dismissal. The performance will be outside.
Our final performance of the year will be Monday, May 24 performing pre-music for the McBride Elementary Honor Day. We view this as a possible band “recruiting” performance for students rising to the middle school soon. Also MANY parents of young students will hear us that normally would not.
Time is winding down but the band is full speed ahead. So blessed by these kids and lucky to be involved with performing arts.
