Band Fee Invoices
Band fees for the year are as follows:
7th and 8th Grade – $100
6th Grade – $75
Instrument Rental Fee for School Owned Instruments – $50 (for students who play school owned instruments: Tuba, Baritone, Tenor Sax, Bass Clarinet, Percussion) *These will not be invoiced. There is an option to pay this on MySchoolBucks or you can send cash/check.
These will be emailed to you via MySchoolBucks sometime this week. You may also see them appear on your child’s MySchoolBucks account in the days ahead. We appreciate everyone taking care of this as quickly as you can! If you would like to pay with cash or check, that would be fine. Please make checks payable to MSMS Band. Thank you!
Spring Trip Meeting for Parents
There will be an informational meeting for parents concerning the MSMS 7th & 8th Grade Band Trip to Orlando on Monday, August 18 @ 6:00 p.m. in the band room at the middle school.
At this meeting we will go over the details of the trip: chaperoning, payments, rooming questions, excused absences, etc.
We will not be signing up for rooming assignments at this meeting. That will happen later in the school year.
Homecoming Parade
The 2025 Muscle Shoals Homecoming Parade will be Friday, September 5 @ 3:00 p.m. Only the 8th grade band members will be participating in this event. Parents of 8th graders, please keep that afternoon open for your child to participate in the parade. They will be riding on the flatbed trailer of an 18 wheeler!
There will be an early dismissal from school that day, but the 8th grade band students can stay in the middle school band room until the parade starts.
More detailed info will follow in the coming weeks.
First MSMS Home Football Game
The first 7th and 8th grade pep band performance will be Thursday, September 11 at the first home MSMS Football game. We are currently working on the music for this game in class.
As we get closer to that game, I will share a more detailed schedule. There are 2 games that night: 7th and 8th grade. We will play in the stands and during halftime of both games. After halftime of the second game, we will leave and go back to the band room. The kids can be released to go home at that point.
Fall Fundraiser Kickoff
Our Fall Fundraiser will begin in class on Monday, August 18! Please be on the lookout for this info from your child when they come home from school that day!

October 10 – BAND NIGHT! (7th and 8th Grade Band will play with the High School Band that night!)
November 4 – Veteran’s Day Concert @ MSMS Gym (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Bands will perform)
December 11 – Christmas Concert (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Bands will perform)
