Good morning MSMS Band and welcome to November!
This week our 8th grade band will be making a recording of some of our music that they have been preparing for Veterans Day. This recording will be sent out on a hyperdoc next week in lieu of our traditional in-person Veterans Day program. When that hyperdoc is created, I will make sure to share it here on this website as well as on our Facebook page.
The 7th grade band has been back to working the basics in our Essential Elements book. These building blocks of fundamentals, musical terms, and new notes are helping these students to understand more and more about music. Parents, ask your 7th grader (brass/woodwind) to show you how to conduct in a 4/4 pattern (We learned that this past week!)
6th graders, keep on practicing. We see and hear improvement each week. You all have come so far since September and it’s only going to get better!
Thank your parents for your continuing support of your child in MSMS Band. It’s a good bunch of young people.
I should find out this week when our fundraiser items will be shipped. As soon as that info is given to me, I will pass it on to all of you. Thank you for your help in this endeavor!
