Jazz Band will meet Wednesday morning this week, 7:15 – 7:45 AM.
All State Tryouts are this coming Saturday, January 25 @ MSHS. We will be going over times, procedures, logistics, etc. with the students this week. Students, many of you have worked hard to this point. Keep practicing your scales and pieces. Leave no room for doubt! I appreciate the way many of you have worked over the last few months in preparation for Saturday. That alone is commendable!
The Shoals Area Honor Band Tryouts Sign up Sheet will be posted this week. The date of the auditions is February 4. The location is Muscle Shoals Middle School. These tryouts are open to any 7th and/or 8th grade band member at MSMS. The tryout material is the same we used for chair tests back in the fall. Let’s have a LARGE MSMS band turnout for this event! If selected, the dates of the honor band are March 13 and 14.

The next spring trip payment is due by January 29.
The MSMS Band will be selling strawberries starting this week. Each band member will receive an order form. We are asking each band family to sell as many flats as possible. One flat contains 8 quarts. Each flat will be sold for $30 and half flats are $15. For those going on the spring trip, a portion of the profits from the strawberries you sell will be applied to your trip. This fundraiser will last for two weeks. The delivery date will be assigned to us at a later date, but typically we receive the strawberries by the end of Feburary/early March.
