Good morning MSMS Band. Here’s your info for the week!
MPA for our 7th and 8th grade band members is this Wednesday, March 9.
Here’s the schedule for the day:
6:15 AM MSMS Band Room opens (please eat breakfast before you come to school!)
6:30 AM Arrive at MSMS dressed in Concert Attire
6:50 AM Load Buses/Depart for UNA
7:15 AM Arrive at UNA / Unload / Restrooms
7:30 AM Official Warm-Up Time
8:30 AM MPA Performance (parents invited to attend)
8:40 AM MPA Sight reading (parents not allowed)
9:00 AM Announce MPA Results/Return inside to watch other performances
10:00 AM Load buses, return to MSMS (can change out of concert attire when we return to school)
10:15-10:30 AM Students return to class
The 7th and 8th grade band will have one more morning rehearsal on Tuesday, March 8 @ 7:15 a.m. Parents, once again I’d like to thank you for getting your kids to school on these early morning rehearsals. They have been most productive.
Shoals Area Middle School Honor Band is this Friday and Saturday, March 11-12 @ Muscle Shoals High School. They will need to be in their concert attire for the Concert Warm Up and Concert. They can wear regular clothes on Friday. They may also were regular clothes for Saturday morning’s rehearsal. Here’s the schedule for those students who will be a part of the event:
Friday, March 11th
9:00-12:00-Rehearsal (Middle School students will come to the middle school before school as normal. We will then walk the participants over to the high school, weather permitting.)
12:00-1:30-Lunch (pizza will be provided for the Muscle Shoals Students)
1:30-5:30pm- Rehearsal (middle school students will need to be picked up at the high school)
Saturday, March 12th
9:00pm-12:00pm-Rehearsal at MSHS
12:00pm-2:30pm-Lunch (on your own, may bring your lunch or parents may take you off campus)
2:30pm-Concert Warm-up (concert attire needs to be worn here)
3:00pm-Concert @ MSHS
