Good evening MSMS Band!
Here’s your info for the week:
Our Christmas Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 @ MSHS Auditorium. The concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. Here’s the order:
6th/7th/8th Grade Beginning Band
7th/8th Grade Band
MSHS Full Concert Band
6th/7th/8th Grade Beginning Band Members may wear traditional Christmas colors for this concert (red, white, and/or green)
7th/8th grade band members will be wearing their concert attire (same as we wore for our pictures in September & Veterans Day concert last month).
There will be no charge for this concert. We hope to see many of you there that evening as we wrap up a great semester of band!
We will be making our final preparations this week for our upcoming Christmas Concert (December 13).
We will have two morning rehearsals with the 7th and 8th Grade Band this week.
Tuesday, December 6 @ 7:15 a.m. – Fortress of Stone
Thursday, December 8 @ 7:15 a.m. – When Summer’s in the Meadow (with Mrs. Hood)
Also, parents, please remember that we have an evening rehearsal with our 7th/8th grade band members in the high school band room on Monday evening, December 12 @ 6:00 p.m. This rehearsal will end at 7:30 p.m.
We would like to congratulate the following students on being selected for the University of Alabama Middle School Honor Band: Caden Jones, Amber Willis, Aiden Foster, Ella Rupe, and Faith Sydorick.
We will have two evening rehearsals after the Christmas Break with our 7th/8th Grade band as we make our FINAL preparations for our upcoming AMEA performance. These two evenings are January 12 and January 17. These rehearsals will take place in the high school bandroom.
