Good morning MSMS Band!
Here’s your info the week:
First, all the middle school band and chorus students did a fine job at the Veteran’s Day concert last Tuesday night!

This week in 8th Grade Band we will continue our AMEA Concert Prep. We are now on song #6!
7th grade band will work in sectionals this week with Mr. Wiseman, Mr. Russell, Mr. O’Bryant and myself. The goal for these students is to get song #5 more comfortable and start working on song #6!
6th grade band will be back in our Essential Elements Book. New concepts to learn, new notes to learn, and more music to make!
We will have no morning rehearsals this week. 6th grade band students may utilize this time for pass offs. We will have a belt ceremony in our 6th grade classes this coming Friday.

November 20-24: Thanksgiving Break
Monday, December 12, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.: 7th/8th Grade FULL Band rehearsal in the HIGH SCHOOL band room. Parents, I know it is a busy time of year and we have kids who are involved in a number of activities. This evening rehearsal will be SO beneficial for the band students as we move on towards our December concert (December 13) as well as our AMEA Performance.
Tuesday, December 13: MSMS/MSHS Bands Christmas Concert in the High School Auditorium (All MSMS Band Students will perform on this concert)
Thursday, January 12 – Evening Rehearsal with the 7th/8th Grade FULL Band in the HIGH SCHOOL band room.
Tuesday, January 17 – Evening Rehearsal with the 7th/8th Grade FULL Band in the HIGH SCHOOL band room
Thursday, January 19 – AMEA PERFORMANCE in Birmingham
