No jazz band tomorrow morning.
There are some things that are still a little uncertain at this point, given the unprecedented times we are all witnessing. The staff has been in discussion about our plans for the remainder of the semester, namely, the Spring Trip to Atlanta. Please know that we are in contact with all the entities affiliated with the trip (Six Flags, Atlanta Braves, Music in the Parks, etc). A decision will be made ASAP concerning the trip. We are scheduled to TENTATIVELY go back to class on April 6, but as we all know in the current situation, this could change.
We want to have as much info to give you when we communicate trip decision specifics to you. As of this evening, we don’t yet have all that info. We hope to have more in the next few days Once we have collected everything we need, we will let you know on this website.
Your child’s safety is our number one priority.
UNA Middle School Honor Band has been cancelled.
Also, our 5th grade Instrument Fair Day scheduled for April 4, will need to be rescheduled. As of this evening, we aren’t able to give a date for that. We hope to be able to have this event once we come back to class. I know we may not have many 5th grade families on the band website, but any help in communicating this out would be greatly appreciated.

This would be a WONDERFUL time to clean your instrument. It would also be a great time to practice! Spring Concert music, scales, rudiments, long tones, scales, scales, scales…….:-)
