We have a big week in the band room! It’s our first home game and senior night!
Heat Safety: It is going to be very hot this week. We will make sure appropriate breaks are taken and that we do not stay out in the heat longer than is advised. You can help us by making sure you are drinking water today and coming to school with full half gallon/gallon water jugs full and ready for rehearsal!

Game Day Info:
Friday night is our game against Florence, and it is Senior Night. We still need 6 volunteers for concessions: https://volunteersignup.org/JM3HW Please get these filled today.
Please wear your “Paradise Born of Fire” t-shirt for school/pep rally/game. We will wear black athletic shorts for the game.
Pep Rally Info for Band Students: Band students will be released to go to the band room at 12:45 on Friday. If you have D lunch, you will need to go to C lunch instead, that will be from 12:12-12:37 on Friday. If you are at the career academy during 3rd block, you will walk as a group over to MSHS at 12:40. The pep rally is open to parents and will take place in the MSHS gym from 1:15-1:35. After the pep rally, we will go into 4th block rehearsal.
3:15 – the bell rings and all students leave campus. We do not eat during the game, so be sure to eat dinner before you come back to school for the game.
5:15 – call time for all students. For this game, we will wear our “Paradise Born of Fire” shirts and black shorts or pants. Auxiliaries will wear their football uniforms. Seniors will wear full uniforms for the senior night presentation before the game begins, then they will change after the national anthem. You will not wear shakos for senior night. You are welcome to fix your hair however you would like.
5:30 – rehearsal begins
Senior Night Parent Info:
- 6:15- Senior parents will enter the ticket gate by the athletic facility. They will wait on the track for their students underneath the scoreboard. Band students will join you at 6:20. Parents will get their rose at that time. Parents do not need tickets for the senior night recognition ceremony.
- 6:30- After teams exit the field from warm-up, parents and students will line up in alphabetical order east to west. Here is the order of Seniors in Alphabetical Order:

- After each senior is recognized, students and parents are to exit the field. Parents without tickets are to leave the stadium.
- 6:50-National Anthem-Band Parents of seniors/cheerleaders are welcome to watch this from the endzone.

Snap!Raise update:
Our SnapRaise has officially made it past halfway to our goal! Please continue sending text invites and sharing on all social media platforms. This morning our total is at $18,511. If you have someone that would like to donate directly to the band instead of through Snap!, they can write a check straight to MSHS Band!
80s Benefit Concert Success:
Thank you to the students who donated their time and talents to performing at the benefit concert to raise money for special needs playgrounds yesterday. We received so many compliments, and had a lot of fun!
