Good morning. I hope this message finds you rested and recharged. I have had a wonderful few days to get away from the hustle and bustle of regular working life! We all need that from time to time.
Our priority this week from students and parents standpoint is TVI. This is our contest, hosted by our school and band, and we have a tremendous reputation to uphold.
Students, you will be signing up for working positions during the afternoon shift. We will do this Thursday during 4th block. Parents will work the evening shift as we will need to prepare to perform.
PARENTS! ALL HANDS ON DECK PLEASE!
Almost every band student will work at some point, but we must have adults working the evening shift. Right now, the sign up list is ridiculously low. I am hoping people plan to work and just haven’t signed up yet. This is definitely the time we need you the most.
Things we need: concession stand workers 4:30-end, food prepared and dropped off at middle school library for hospitality, workers helping in all the many areas around the schools during the day.
Here is the link. Go here and sign up for something. To say we need your help is an understatement. https://volunteersignup.org/PEAFJ
I am also contacting alumni and past band parents to help. If you know of anyone that fits this category, please let me know.
Rehearsal schedule is normal, except we start on Wednesday. It’s marching band every day until State Championships!
We have a home game against Athens on Friday night. Call is 5:30.
Uniforms are at the cleaners as we speak.
