FRIDAY: Freshman parent fish fry 6pm at Grace Life Church across the street from the High School
SATURDAY: Pit cave clean up with band dads
SUNDAY: Field striping with student volunteers
FRESHMAN BAND PARENT FISH FRY!
Freshman parents, (and this year sophomore parents who are interested) you are invited to a fish fry in your honor! At 6pm please meet at Grace Life Church fellowship hall for great food and a wealth of information geared to parents new to the high school band world. This is an informative meeting to let you know what to expect from your first year as a band parent. We hope you can join us for fried catfish (fillets from Taylors), world famous cheese grits (Waters’ recipe), other fixings and desert. This tradition was started many years ago by my mentor Pat Stegall because there is nothing quite like the fellowship of a fish fry. See you Friday!
Next week starts band camp. Don’t forget to have all the items your students need for a successful camp including a water jug and proper shoes and clothing.
