Good morning, from the band room! It’s our final push to the end of the semester, and it’s CONCERT WEEK! Finish strong, everyone!
Schedule at a Glance:
Monday 12/9 – 4th Block Rehearsal
Tuesday 12/10 – 4th Block Rehearsal, WG & PE rehearsal
Wednesday 12/11 – 4th Block Rehearsal
Thursday 12/12 – 4th Block Rehearsal, Christmas Concert
Friday 12/13 – 4th Block Clean Out Lockers/Mile Run for new members
Monday 12/16 – 4th Block Cleaning/Push ups, sit ups, v-sit for new members
Tuesday 12/17 – 4th Block Cleaning, WG rehearsal
Wednesday-Friday 12/18-12/20 – For review day and finals, we will not be doing anything in 4th block. I recommend checking out before 4th block, as the directors will be gone to the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic Conference. Any students at school during the block of time allotted for 4th block will need to go to Mrs. Bradford’s room.
Christmas Concert
Thursday, December 12th @ 6PM
Order of the Concert: 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Intermediate Band, 8th Grade Advanced, MSHS Concert Band
High School Student Call Time: 5:45 – MSHS students will wait in the MSHS band room until their portion of the concert in order to save seats for the guests. It will be a packed house!
*Student chamber ensembles, I will need to hear your after school on Wednesday.
High School Student Dress: concert attire (boys-tuxedoes, girls all black dress or pants/shirt).
Band Physical Testing
All new members must go through band physical testing in order for marching band to serve as their Physical Education requirement.
