Happy Sunday, from the band room!
What an awesome weekend. The best of times were had, and the band performed beautifully on Friday. So proud of all the kids and thank you to the parents who were able to come along with us. The kids were complimented everywhere we went for their behavior and musical skills.
We will move on and look forward to MPA now! We will keep some music and learn 1-2 new pieces for MPA which takes place the first week of March. We also have to start our sight-reading practice again!

Monday – 4th Block, winter guard 5:30-8 @ McBride, percussion ensemble @ MSHS
Tuesday – 7:15 Jazz Band, 4th Block, Shoals Area Honor Band Auditions (these take place at MSMS and begin at 5 and will continue until everyone auditions. Once you have auditioned, you are free to go home. I recommend getting in line early as some auditions go until 8PM.) Volunteer to bring food for hospitality here.
Wednesday – 4th Block
Thursday – 7:15 Jazz band, 4th block, winter guard 4-6:30 @ Parkview, percussion ensemble 3:30-4:30
Friday – 4th Block, District Honor Band (see full schedule below)
Saturday – District Honor Band

We will pick up at 8AM for MSMS on Friday morning and 8:10 at MSHS. We will pick up at 8AM from MSHS ONLY on Saturday morning.

Money needed: Two meals on Friday, one meal Saturday
Concert Attire: All students will need concert attire Saturday morning. They don’t need to wear it Saturday morning, they will change into it after lunch. They will need to be in their concert attire by 2:00 p.m. when they start Warm-Up.
This is a field trip for all students.
All students are expected to ride the bus to and from. You may check out after the concert.
