Good morning! We’ve made it to the last full week of the semester! Congratulations! Great job at the parade last week. Thank you to the volunteers who brought cookies and poured cocoa! That was a lot of fun. Continue to finish strong as we prepare for our Christmas concert.

Christmas Concert
Call Time: 6:10
Concert Begins: 6:30 (6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade Band, MSHS Band)
Attire: Concert Attire (tuxedoes, all black)
Next Monday and Tuesday will be Presidential Fitness Testing for al new marching members. If this is your first year in marching band, you are required to participate in order for marching band to count as your PE credit. Monday we will do push ups, sit ups, and v-sit. Tuesday we will run the mile. We will rehearse normally first, then do our testing the last half of the block.
The MSHS Band will travel to Troy University for our SEUS performance February 2nd-3rd. Because we are not taking a big trip this year (big trip announced at the concert on Thursday!), we have decided to add a short trip to our SEUS trip as a reward for the student’s hardworking. Parents are invited to attend, but fill out the google form here to sign up. Read the document below for pricing. Student pricing is $65 (if there is a hardship, please let me know privately). The trip can be paid for through MySchoolBucks. The links will be added this week. Deadline for parent sign-up is Friday, December 22nd. I had wanted to get this information out much sooner, but we were at the mercy of receiving our performance date. I only got this last Monday.
Please add Saturday, January 13th to your calendar. We will have a full day concert band camp this day to help us prepare for our SEUS performance. There will be instructors for every section to help us get better!
