I want to take a moment to brag on our kids and parents. These past few weeks have been incredibly full and fulfilling. From volunteering at the Centennial celebration, to Dinner with the Band, to All-State, I am so thankful for students and parents that believe in this band program and help to make it successful. Thank you.
Good luck to all of our students who are AP testing this week. The band room will be utilized for testing the next two weeks, so we will be rehearsing on stage, as we prepare for our concert!
This week in band:
Monday – 4th Block
Tuesday – 4th Block, MSMS Spring Concert @ 6PM
Wednesday – 4th Block
Thursday – 4th Block, Spring Fusion Concert @ 7PM
~Student call time is 6:30 on stage for the concert. Students may wear their concert black attire or something that is a similar theme to one of the pieces we are playing. We invite all senior band members, even if you are not in concert band, to attend the concert to be recognized.
Friday – Jazz Band Rehearsal, special guest performances, Load for Solo and Ensemble
Saturday – Solo and Ensemble
~MSHS students will depart from MSHS at 8AM. We should be home no later than 1PM.
Marching Band Auditions will take place May 8-12. If a student plans to be in the marching band, they must audition to be considered for membership. If you are not currently in concert band, your date to audition is May 10th after school.
Drum Major Auditions will take place May 8-12 from 3:30-4:30

If you are interested in becoming a member of the band leadership team (BLT), please fill out the application here. Applications are due May 7th at 11:59PM. BLT interviews will take place the week of May 15-19.
