Here’s your info for the week:
The October morning rehearsal schedule will be as follows:
Tuesday, October 4 – 7th and 8th Grade Brass
Thursday, October 6 – Full Band (woodwinds, brass, and percussion)
Thursday, October 13 – Full Band (woodwinds, brass, and percussion)
Tuesday, October 18 – 7th Grade Brass
Thursday, October 20 – 7th Grade Woodwinds
Tuesday, October 25 – Full Band (woodwinds, brass, and percussion)
Thursday, October 27 – Full Band (woodwinds, brass, and percussion)
Parents, these morning rehearsals are VERY important. These are some of the few times that we can get everyone together as our 8th and 7th grade band classes meet at different times during the school day. The kids have been making some really great strides on our AMEA music. I’d like to be able to have the majority of it ready by the end of October so we can spend November and December fine tuning the music for January’s concert. Thank you for getting your child to school early on these mornings for these rehearsals.
7th/8th Grade Final Pep Band Performance!
We will have one more 7th/8th Grade Band Pep Band Performance this fall. Our 8th Grade football team will be playing in the Championship Game, here at Muscle Shoals, on Thursday, October 13. They became eligible to play in this upcoming game by their win against Decatur last week. The start time for the game is 6:00 p.m. I will pass on more detailed info next week as we get closer to the game.
