Info for the Week of 9/5 through 9/9

Good morning MSMS Band

Here’s your info for the week:

Our next 7th and 8th grade pep band game is Tuesday, September 6. There will only be one game that evening. We will need to at the band room at 4:30 p.m. and move quickly into the stadium to play Star Spangled Banner before the start of the game. We will not go to the concession tomorrow evening as there is only 1 game. We will stay for the entire game. 7th and 8th grade woodwind players (flutes, all clarinets, and all saxophones) will have another rehearsal on Thursday, September 8 @ 7:15 a.m. in the band room.

All 7th and 8th grade band students need to have their concert attire this week. As of today, we plan on having our picture made for the AMEA programs on Monday evening, September 26. Parents, please keep this evening open as we want ALL students to be able to be in the picture. The students will wear their concert attire for this picture. More detailed info will be given out in the coming days.

Our fall fundraiser is still going. Please remember we are asking that each family sell at least 7 items. This money will go towards new instruments, music, and technology needs for the middle school band program. Thank you for help in this matter! The turn in date for the fundraiser forms and money is Monday, September 12. The online orders will end on Friday, September 16. This is for all grades (6, 7, and 8).
