It’s a game week!
Monday: 4th Block Rehearsal
Tuesday: 4th Block Rehearsal (discuss hair under shako); 5:30-8 (shako rehearsal, you will need to arrive no later than 5:10, so you have enough time to put on your shako and make adjustments if necessary.)
Wednesday: 4th Block Rehearsal
Thursday: Bob Jones Away Game
* You will need to bring everything needed for the game. Winds/Percussion: long black socks, band shoes, under uniform clothing, money for concessions, flip folder, instrument, etc. Aux: everything needed to get ready after school, jazz shoes/boots, football uniform, poms, tights, etc.
We will depart by bus at 4:40. Check-outs may be made after the game with Mrs. Hood at bus 1. Only parents/guardians will be able to check their student out after the game. Students who check out are still responsible for unloading and putting away their instrument and uniform. If they cannot meet at the school to take care of their instrument, they will need to take their instrument and uniform back and return them on Friday morning.

A quick note about hair while wearing the shako…
While we are wearing our shakos, all hair must be inside the shako, meaning no hair can touch the collar of the uniform or be out of the shako while the it is on your head. This is for both boys and girls. Top buns are the most effective way to accomplish this (picture below). If your hair will not fit in a top bun, bobby pins, gel, hairspray are the way to go. Ask an older member this week and be prepared for when we wear shakos on Tuesday night!
