Good morning, everyone!
Congratulations on a great first week of camp. We hope you feel rested after the three-day weekend and are ready to take on week 2 with a renewed energy! We will be learning more drill/work/show music all week, as well as stands tunes.
Our schedule this week is the same as last week:
Monday and Tuesday: 8-8 (Dinner break 4-6)
Wednesday (8-4)
Thursday (8-1)
Band Pictures:
Band pictures will take place Thursday at 3:30 PM in the MSHS gym. We will meet at 2:50 to talk about uniform procedures before dressing. Students will wear athletic clothing under their uniforms and will need long black socks. New band shoes have been ordered for all new members and those who needed new ones. The price for these shoes is $50 and can be paid before pictures online or with cash/check. Click here to pay online. The school has switched our online payment system this summer. If you have any trouble paying online, please let me know.
DCI Murfreesboro:
Friday night at 7PM, the MSHS band room will host a viewing of the 2022 DCI Summer Games Murfreesboro Show. I know we have several students attending in person, but for anyone who wants to come hangout and watch some drum corps, there will be free pizza and good times had! I will have a full schedule for the event soon, and can offer more information about pick-up times later in the week. This is not a required event. Just a chance to hangout and nerd out over band. Quick Reminder about our first playing performance for MSCS Institute:
August 1st: Meet at band room 7:15, dress in full uniform, play for teachers 7:45-8:05, put away uniforms, students dismissed. This is a great event to start the year and help get the teachers excited for the school year.
