Good afternoon MSMS Band,
First, we would like to say GREAT JOB to the 7th and 8th Grade band on their performance Monday night. The band really played well. Second, we would like to say GREAT JOB to the 6th grade band on their performance Thursday night. Thanks to all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors who came out to the concerts this past week. It was SO good to see SO many people!
It’s the final week of school before we get out for the Christmas Holidays. We have a few more things to wrap up before we go home.
- 7th grade chair tests will conclude on Monday, December 13
- We will have pass off days for our 6th grade band classes. This is a chance for many of our 6th grade band members to get some more lines checked off of their Band Karate sheet before we go home for the Holidays.
- I will stay after school on Monday and Tuesday until 4:30 p.m. to work with band students who are auditioning for All State. We may pick up some afternoon rehearsals after we get back to school in January. All State Auditions are January 29, 2022.
- We would like to encourage all of our band students to take their instruments home over the break to not only practice, but to play for their family! Everyone in the band knows some Christmas/Holiday tunes that they could perform for family get-togethers. **If anyone DOES play, we would like to see it, please send us a video!!**
The directors wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for being in band. We are so glad each and every one of you have chosen to be in this great organization. Without you, there would be no band. You make us proud.
Have a great afternoon, everybody.
Seay you all in the morning!
