It’s hard to believe that we are almost finished with the 2020-2021 school year! What a year……..it….has….been!!
School is in session until Wednesday May 26. That will be the final day for students (it’s only a half day).
Every MSMS Band student will need to take care of cleaning out there band locker. Any folders, music, flip-folders, lyres, valve oil, cork grease, cleaning cloths, clothes, shoes, hats, etc. (I know that’s a lot), that are not taken care of before the end of school will either be discarded or put to future use for the MSMS Band.
School owned instruments (tubas, baritones, tenor sax, bass clarinet, and french horns) will need to stay at the middle school this summer. All other personally owned instruments will need to go home with their owners before the last day of school.
8th grade students who are going into high school band this coming fall will do their marching band auditions during class this week.
6th grade students – this is your final week to collect a belt as our final belt ceremony will be this week. Finish strong folks!
7th grade – we will continue to work out of the Essential Elements Book 1 as we look forward to 8th grade and all the opportunities that await you this coming fall.
Let’s keep at it this week, work up all the way to the end. You all have done well this year. The directors are pleased and happy with all the progress among all the challenges.
One more full week to go.
Seay everyone in the morning!
