I just received word from Dr. Davis that the administrators at Hartselle and Muscle Shoals have decided to move this weeks game from Friday night to Thursday night in leu of the hurricane that is moving in over the weekend. Many schools across the south are making the same football game change plans as well.
Pep band schedule remains the same for Thursday with a 4:30pm departure and stopping for food on the way as well as concessions 3rd quarter.
Our MSHS Community performance originally scheduled for this Thursday night is now moved to the following Tuesday night October 13th at 7pm. Everything remains the same for the event except the date. We will honor our seniors, enjoy the middle school band perform, enjoy our high school marching band as well as a brief booster meeting.
I know some of you had family and friends in town this week specifically for this Thursday night and we apologize for the inconvenience of the change. Our only choice was to move our performance or cancel it. I think we would all agree moving it is the better choice. Enough has been taken away in 2020.
This also changes our designated “uniform fitting” 4th block day originally scheduled for the October 13th Tuesday. Obviously coming off a 4 day weekend we will now need to have a band rehearsal on the day of that community performance Tuesday. We will speak with boosters and come up with a new uniform day hopefully that same week.
There were a few students who had originally signed up for the Hartselle game who mentioned conflicts for the Friday game. Now that it’s on Thursday please let me know ASAP if this changes your plan.
