7th and 8th grade band will not be playing at the Football game on September 17.
However, they will play at the game on October 1. As we get closer to that date, I will share the procedures and times with everyone. The Star Spangled Banner is sounding good in both classes! Trojan March is next up along with the band cheers! Going to work on that music next week.
Parents, please keep the evening of October 8 open for the 7th and 8th grade band members. That evening, there will be a band showcase of sorts at James F. Moore stadium. The middle school band, along with the high school band, will be performing that evening for parents, friends, and family. This will give the kids a chance to perform! We are looking forward to these upcoming performances. We will send out additional info as we get closer.
6th grade has been hard at work this week learning note names, rhythms, and instrument assembly. Mr. Waters has been working with the drummers on their drums, as well. Starting Monday, we will begin working with the instruments. Parents, be prepared to have your child bring their instrument home and practice. They will learn SO much from now until the end of the semester!
