parents, I wanted to give you plenty of notice and add a rehearsal.
I would like to add a rehearsal to our schedule.
TUESDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 15 5:30-8:00 on our band practice field
Rational for added rehearsal: Our rehearsal schedule has been greatly altered by protocols and a late start, and mostly by losing band camp. I estimate so far we have lost more than 50 hours of rehearsal time.
Considering all of this, I am very pleased with our progress and with the student work ethic.
However, next week is homecoming. We will have to learn music for that and homecoming will put a kink in learning out closer, Malaguena. It is a very difficult piece of music, and we haven’t learned the drill for it yet.
We have three home games in a row and not another game until our last game in late October. We want to try everything we can to have it on the field by the third game. We will need that night rehearsal to make it……if we can make it.
