Good morning, tired people 🙂 What a great Saturday contest day we were able to present to 23 high school bands. Wonderful comments from participants and directors about the day. I can’t say thank you enough for the work. It is the life blood of our booster budget, and it was financially successful once again this year. Thank you Thank you Thank you
This week: Wetumpka game and Florence Contest
We will be departing early Friday at 10:30am due to the distance of the game. We will stop for a long lunch at the Galleria Mall in Birmingham. We will go straight to the stadium after that. Wetumpka is a hike, and we will spend a lot of time on the road.
Florence contest we are in a really tough class. Bob Jones HS and James Clemens at State Bound 7A groups. It will be a shootout between the three group. We have to put on our best show to be competitive. I am excited about it! Seniors, this is your awards ceremony. Make it a good one. Think ahead about the form you want to stand in.
Here is the schedule for Wetumpka:
Thursday 4:00 load equipment on trucks and trailers
Friday:
10:30am depart MSHS
12:30 arrive at Galleria Mall
2:30 depart mall
5:00 arrive at Wetumpka, unload,
7:00 gametime
9:30 depart Wetumpka, no stopping
1:00am arrive home, do not unload
Saturday Florence contest:
ACT test for some students that morning; BEST OF LUCK!
3:45 call time at MSHS, dress
5:00 load and depart for Florence
5:30 unload
6:40 warm up
7:45 perform, go straight into stands
8:15 awards
8:45 load
9:30 depart for MSHS
10:00 unload everything
