Good day from the band office. Here are your notes for this week.
We have our final Summer rehearsal Tuesday the 9th at 5:30pm. We are excited to continue our work on fundamentals and other things. I do want to remind everyone of our attendance policy for summer rehearsals. Family vacations are excused for these three rehearsals but that is it. All band students are expected to be at all rehearsals.
Band camp starts one week from today at 8am. You MUST be at all band camp rehearsals. Extreme circumstances agreed by the directors well in advance are the only exception.
DO YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR CAMP? Water jug, proper shoes and clothing? Your band camp experience will be very poor if you do not have the proper things. Take care of these things please. You will also need these items for band rehearsals during the school day.
Do not forget that medical/field trip forms are online as well as band fee payments. Please take care of these tings ASAP.
Parents, please check out our booster announcements to see how you can help us. This band program’s success relies heavily on parent involvement. Please consider helping out in some way.
Students, one last thing. Your first time out in the heat should not be Monday. You need to do some activities outside to be prepared for the heat. Sweating and being outside is such a great healthy things for all of us…….if you are prepared.
