We have never been more successful at any fundraiser we have ever done. Congratulations band and thank you to everyone who donated and shared the fundraiser.
Our final online donation count ended up being $31,500. However, we have also received donations to our fundraiser NOT through our online app but sent to brought to us personally. That number is $4500.
This brings us to a donation total of $36,000!!!!!!!
This is truly amazing and every penny is needed and deserved by these fine students. Thank you for all the help.
Three special donations I would like to share. CHAMPY’S sent us a donation of $2,500. Folks, please stop by and frequent their eating establishment. They not only support the band program, but support our entire school system. They are the real deal and very nice people. Also the fine people at First Class charter buses gave us a nice donation as well.
The last one to share was from Mrs. Brown of Muscle Shoals. A year ago, my wife and I sold three bar stools online that we ordered but decided to get something different. Mrs. Brown bought them and we delivered to her house. She was elderly and couldn’t lift heavy things so I helped her get them inside her house, and even took some time to help assemble them. For 30 minutes I helped her get them together. No big deal AT ALL. But, it made an impact on her. I was called to the office two days ago and when I arrived she was there. I didn’t recognize this lady who gave me a big hug at first, until she reminded me. Well, she seems to think she shorted my wife and I $50 on those stools. I don’t think she did, but she was compelled to help the band when she read it online. So instead of $50, she donated $500 to our cause.
There is never a bad time to do a good thing. Help people, be kind, it’s really important.
