Good afternoon MSMS Band!
Here’s your info for the week:
Veteran’s Day Concert is Monday, November 4
Our first concert of the year will be here before we know it. This concert will include all of our middle school band students: 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The concert will be at the High School Auditorium @ 6:00 p.m.
Parents of 7th and 8th graders: please make sure that your child has their concert attire for this performance. If you have any questions about the attire, please call or email me! 256 389-2640; dseay@mscs.k12.al.us
Pep Band for 7th and 8th Graders Comes to a Close!
Our 7th and 8th grade pep band performances are finished for the school year. We have enjoyed playing at the games this fall. The kids have done a nice job all around.
Band Night!
Band night was a HUGE success. The Middle School color guard got to perform on the field with the high school guard before the game while the band played “Trojan March”. It was exciting to see so many kids in the band section this past Friday night!
Jazz Band to begin soon
Signups for Jazz band began this past week. Rehearsals will be in the mornings at 7:15 a.m. in the middle school band room. I will let everyone know this week when those rehearsals will begin. This is for those 7th and 8th graders who are interested in playing in the jazz band this year.
Fundraiser Items Tentative Delivery Date
The preliminary date is received from the company is sometime in the last week of October. When I know the definite date, I will let everyone know.

October 19 – Tennessee Valley Marching Invitational @ James F. Moore Stadium (Marching Band Contest that we host here at Muscle Shoals)
November 4 – Veteran’s Day Concert for ALL groups @ Muscle Shoals High School (6th, 7th, & 8th Grades)
December 12 – Christmas Concert for ALL groups @ Muscle Shoals High School (6th, 7th, & 8th Grades)
