Happy Competition Week! This week we will be pushing hard to clean our show in preparation for our first competition at the Rocky City Invitational on Saturday.
Week At A Glance:
Monday 9/16 – 4th Block Rehearsal
Tuesday 9/17 – 4th Block Rehearsal, stadium rehearsal (call time is 5:15, parents are allowed to come watch a final run through at 7:55), wear black shirts
Wednesday 9/18 – 4th Block Rehearsal, trial run of props after school (loading crew please stay)
Thursday 9/19 – 4th Block Rehearsal, 3:30-4:30
Friday 9/20 – Pep Rally, 4th Block Rehearsal, Home Game against Decatur, wear show shirts
Saturday 9/21 – Rocket City Invitational (schedule below), wear dri-fit shirts
The rain kept away some test drivers on Saturday, but we were able to add a little bit of money to our new uniform fund. Thank you to those that volunteered and those that came to drive!

Tuesday: we will meet at 5:15 at MSHS to walk over to the stadium, so we can begin rehearsal right at 5:30. Please wear a black shirt, we will bring bibbers and shakos. Stadium rehearsals are our most important rehearsals all year!!!
Friday: Cullman Game
Pep Rally Info for Band Students: Band students will be released to go to the band room at 12:45 on Friday. If you have D lunch, you will need to go to C lunch instead, that will be from 12:12-12:37 on Friday. If you are at the career academy during 3rd block, you will walk as a group over to MSHS at 12:40. The pep rally is open to parents and will take place in the MSHS gym from 1:15-1:35. After the pep rally, we will go into 4th block rehearsal.
3:15 – the bell rings and all students leave campus. We do not eat during the game, so be sure to eat dinner before you come back to school for the game.
5:15 – call time for all students
5:30 – rehearsal begins
6:20 – walk to the stadium
6:50 – National Anthem
7:00 – Game Begins
9:30ish – Game Ends, head back to band room and load trucks for Saturday.
Saturday: Rocket City Invitational

We will load trucks after our rehearsal on Friday evening. Instrument cleaning will have to take place beforehand.
Tickets are $15 and available to purchase through the S2 Pass app>Bob Jones High School>Rocket City Marching Invitational. Cash and card will also be accepted at the gate and concession stand.
