Good morning MSMS Band
Here’s your info for the week:
- Fundraiser forms and money are due on Monday, September 12. The online portion of the fundraiser will end on Friday, September 16.
- 7th and 8th Grade Brass members (trumpets, trombones, baritones, French horns, and tubas) will have their first morning rehearsal on Tuesday, September 13 @ 7:15 a.m.
- 7th and 8th Grade Woodwind members (flute, all clarinets, and saxophones) will have their next morning on Thursday, September 15 @ 7:15 a.m.
- Our next 7th/8th Grade Pep Band Performance will be on Thursday, September 15. There are two games that evening. The kids need to be in the band room at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. We should be finished by 7:15-7:30 p.m. Everyone needs to be in the black MSMS Band T-Shirt. Here’s the link to purchase tickets online: https://gofan.co/app/events/674329?schoolId=AL73190
- The 7th/8th Grade Pep Band will also play at a Middle School Pep Rally on Thursday, September 15. The pep rally will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. I would like for the band to wear their band t-shirt to the pep rally as well as the game that day.
Here’s a list of upcoming events through the end of September:
- September 20 – 7th/8th Grade Brass Morning Rehearsal (trumpets, trombones, French horns, baritones, tubas) @ 7:15 a.m.
- September 20 – MSMS Home Football Game
- September 22 – 7th/8th Grade Woodwind Morning Rehearsal (7:15 a.m.)
- September 26 – Band Pictures for 7th and 8th Grade (In concert attire in James F. Moore Stadium) Report to the band room, fully dressed in concert attire at 5:00 p.m. We will then move over to the stadium. We will use these pictures for our AMEA Performance Program.
- September 27 – 7th/8th Grade Brass Morning Rehearsal (trumpets, trombones, French horns, baritones, tubas) @ 7:15 a.m.
- September 29 – 7th/8th Grade Woodwind Morning Rehearsal (7:15 a.m.)
- September 30 – Band Night with the High School Band (7th and 8th Grade band members)
